Since 1999, the Internet Project Kosovo (IPKO) has been at the heart of Kosovo’s journey from post-conflict recovery to a thriving digital landscape. Beginning as a small initiative, it quickly became a powerful force for change, to equip Kosovo’s youth with essential technical skills and opening doors to a connected, innovative future. In 2008, this mission evolved into IPKO Foundation, dedicated to empowering Kosovo’s youth and overall community through scholarships, skill-building, and leadership opportunities that would cultivate the country’s future tech leaders.
Now, 25 years later, our transformation into The Foundation House is a testament to the enduring impact of these efforts. This rebranding reflects a renewed commitment to uplifting and inspiring Kosovo’s resilient communities. The Foundation House represents a legacy of profound impact and an inclusive vision for the future—a place where all Kosovars, including the Albanian diaspora, feel a sense of belonging and purpose. This change is more than a new name; it’s a powerful affirmation of our mission to fuel Kosovo’s growth in the digital age. With a deepened focus on creating pathways for youth, empowering women, and strengthening communities, we remain dedicated to building opportunities for all who shape and enrich our society.
To enable future generations of leaders to use technology to solve local and national challenges. We aim to cultivate an environment that fosters full potential through improved policies, robust institutions, and impactful programs.
We contribute to creating an environment where technological innovation drives fair and sustainable social and economic development in Kosovo.
Since 2008, over 50,000 young people have benefited from our programs, representing a steady, exponential increase in participants.
