Hacking the System
In our advocacy work, under our Hacking the System Program, we promote the development of comprehensive and responsive policies and systems which enable the responsible application of technologies in public and private life. We raise awareness among youth and the public about the potential of and the threats that the application of technology brings, while also assisting public and private institutions in mapping key technological issues which require adequate policies and regulations. We use every opportunity to engage those we support to bring their voices to policymakers. The Hacking the System Program is our way of ensuring that technology serves people, not the other way around. In a rapidly digitizing world, we work to create policies, raise awareness, and build frameworks that protect rights and foster equitable technological progress.
What We Do:
- Convening Stakeholders: We bring together policymakers, educators, private sector leaders, and communities to shape responsive and inclusive technology policies.
- Raising Awareness: We empower individuals with knowledge about the benefits and risks of technology, fostering a society that uses these tools responsibly.
- Policy Advocacy: We drive systemic change by advocating for policies that uphold human rights and sustainability in the face of rapid technological advancements.
Why It Matters: Technology has the power to transform societies, but it also carries risks. By championing responsible practices and systemic reforms, we aim to ensure a future where technology empowers everyone equally and ethically.
