DOKUTECH
Since its inception in 2014, DOKU.TECH has been the premier technology event in Kosovo, exploring the intersection of technology, society, and the future. By consistently bringing international expertise to meet local talent, DOKU.TECH has helped put Kosovo on the map in the tech world and inspired a new generation of tech-savvy youth. With over 20,000 attendees, this platform has connected people from across the globe to share knowledge, challenge ideas, and spark new possibilities. The content often tackles pressing issues (from data privacy to the AI revolution), which has fostered greater awareness and debate about technology’s role in society among Kosovo’s public. The event also actively champions inclusion, for example, deliberately featuring a high percentage of women speakers (over 40% female speakers in one edition) to promote gender diversity in tech.
The activities that take place at DOKUTECH include:
Keynote Speakers, which are global thought leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and influential experts who address critical topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, and ethical technology practices.
DIY Fair, in which our partners are invited to showcase their innovations and participants experience hands-on creativity and innovation, showcasing interactive exhibitions, tech demonstrations, artistic displays, and creative projects developed by local and international makers. It provides a platform for attendees to explore technology in a playful, interactive environment.
The Game Jam, where participants team up to conceptualize, design, and develop original video games within a limited time. This activity encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity, offering participants a unique opportunity to demonstrate their practical skills and innovative capabilities.
Masterclasses and Workshops tailored for skill-building and professional development. These sessions, led by industry leaders and practitioners, cover diverse topics including artificial intelligence, digital security, entrepreneurship, coding, and design thinking, providing valuable hands-on experience and actionable insights.
Panel discussions which feature diverse experts engaging in thoughtful dialogues on emerging technological trends, societal impacts, and future-oriented solutions. These panels foster interactive and meaningful conversations, encouraging critical thinking, idea exchange, and networking among participants, and contributing significantly to the enrichment of Kosovo’s innovation ecosystem.
